Wix Invoices

OVERVIEW

Wix Invoices is part of Wix's business solutions allowing users to get paid by their customers online. It's installed by default in all our users accounts, making it a really popular product. Wix users send around 270k invoices a month to their customers. 

ROLE

In this project, I took part in the redesign of the creation flow of an invoice. I also worked on a big cross-teams project called "Client subscriptions". It allows "Wix partners" (Agencies and designers building websites on Wix) to charge their customers for Wix Premium plans within an invoice. 

GOAL

Drive businesses growth by providing users with financial tools to get paid, seamlessly integrated with their website and CRM tools.

Usability Tests

During this project, we conducted usability tests. Since resources and development time were limited, we could test our assumptions and make changes before handing out the final design.

OBJECTIVES

During these tests we wanted to investigate 3 concerns:
 

  1. If users understand the difference between a recurring invoice and a regular invoice.
     

  2. If users understood how to modify the settings of their invoices
     

  3. If users were interacting with the new creation flow seamlessly.

PROTOTYPE

We used a code-based prototype which allowed us to see our participants interact with the designs.

RESULTS

It was a bit harder to conduct usability tests during Corona, but we managed to get helpful conclusions and insights. We were able to make multiple changes and optimize our flow before starting the development phase.
